Dog found!
DH is working a job in Bethpage and found a dog wandering in the woods. He grabbed him to check the tags but they were only rabies tags. He is a pug-like dog and is mostly white with some black spots on his head. DH is pretty positive it's a male dog. They put the dog in the boiler room of the office building they're working on to warm him up and he's been following DH around all day.
Anyone looking for a dog with this description or know what I can tell DH to do? I just know i'll come home to this dog but we are overloaded already and I can't take him in permanently.

Re: Dog found!
you can see if the dog is chipped. I think a vet office can check that out but I'm not sure

Re: Dog found!
check the rabies tag for a vet's name...and try calling that vet & giving the tag #..they can hopefully contact the owner that way.

Rabies tag may help identify vet nd then vet can identify owner.
his owner is found soon

Re: Dog found!
Thanks for the suggestion. Dh called the vet and the number on the tags just went back to the shelter where he got the shots. Luckily, a woman who was working in the building took him and was going to go after work to the surrounding neighborhood and see if she could find his home. Otherwise she was going to bring him home with her.
