Dog-friendly beaches & parks?
Other than the fenced in dog parks, where are there dog-friendly beaches and parks on the island? Every time we attempt to try someplace new there are no dogs allowed signs.. 
I'm north shore nassau, but would travel for a day out with my dog.. know of anywhere?

Gardner's Park in West Bay Shore has a beach and a nice wooded walk to get there. There are also lots of trails that go off into the woods. You could take 231 or the Sagtikos/RM Causeway down to the South Shore. The park is on Montauk Highway east of both of those highways.

we take hershey to gardner's park all the time.... its the best dog park we've been to! he loves it!
