SMithpoint Beach.
You have to walk through where the campers enter but you have to park in the main area if you are not camping.

We go to Smith's Point a lot too.
The only other places that has any kind of beach and is dog friendly is Coindre Hall in Huntington and Gardiners Park in Bayshore.
Coindre Hall - If you walk down the big hill and past the lake, there is a little beach for the dogs.
Gardiners Park - follow the main trail right down to the beach.
