Dog with a broken toe
Our dog broke his toe about a week and a half ago. We brought him to the vet and had a cast put on- he chewed through it. We had him re-cast and put a conehead on him- he managed to circumvent the conehead and chew throught the cast again. We're now on cast number 3 and really can't afford this anymore. The vet says that we can take the cast off and the toe will eventually heal- but very slowly (months instead of weeks). Has anyone else had experience with something like this? Advice is appreciated!

Re: Dog with a broken toe
My dog broke her toe too like 8months ago! You are not alone. It was definately hard b/c my dog would bite the cast and the e-collar. We went thru 2 collars. We bought some bitter apple and sprayed that on the cast...it helped a little. Good luck! HOpe your doggie feels better and has a full recovery. Our dog was only 7months old so the vet told us not to worry that she will fully recover which she did.

Poor baby! I wish I had advice, I don't. Just wanted to wish you all well.
