Dogs and raw meat
I have a 5 yo female Stafforshire Bull Terrier. The breeder & previous owner all feed her raw meat for her coat and general health. I have heard mixed reviews on raw meat. My main issue is that she is so gassy & I'm pretty sure the meat has something to do with it.
If you have a dog, specifically "bully breeds", do you give your dog raw meat? I say bully breeds because that is what the meat supply store said mainly eats raw meat.. staffys, pits, rotties, dobermans, bull mastifs, etc..

Re: Dogs and raw meat
The only time Misty gets raw meat is if we give her a butcher bone. Apparently, that is the only safe way to give them real bones...other than that, she gets dog food only.

Re: Dogs and raw meat
I don't feed my pitbull raw food, but I know a bit about it. That's definitly causing the gas, but from what I've researched it is very good for them.

Re: Dogs and raw meat
We have considered it but just decided not to.
We do however not give him wet dog food. We make a soup for him with chicken, low sodium chicken broth, veggies, and pasta. We add that to his dry food 1x day.
