Doing Laundry outside the house
Danielle and I are stuck without a washer and dryer. We bought New whirlpool Duets, and the contractor we hired to build a closet for us to put them in hasnt shown up in 4 days now. He promised us it was to be done yesterday.....Well anyway....now we have to go to the laundramat with 2 weeks of clothing, sheets, towels, blankets etc.....
I would rather just drop everything off and pay for the people at the laundromat to do it, but Danielle wants us to do it.
Just how we wanted to spend our sunday - so bummed. Scott

Drop it off and pay for it. To me time together not doing laundry is well worth the price

Re: Doing Laundry outside the house
That stinks! Can you go to one of your parent's houses to do it? Otherwise, I'd just drop it off and pick it up! The worst thing in the world is sitting around waiting for laundry to be done!

It goes fast at the laundromat since you have tons of machines.

Re: Doing Laundry outside the house
we could do it at danielles parents but I dont know if she wants to.
We would have two washing machines and two dryers.
If we did that.

Re: Doing Laundry outside the house
I hate doing laundry, it usually my sunday morning ritual to lug about 70 lbs of laundry to laundromat.
Once a month I drop it off. It is a little pricey but so worth it.

Drop it off. I did that when I first started teaching and didn't have laundry in my apartment and I was taking a million classes. It was so worth it.
And for you, it will only be for a short period of time.

Re: Doing Laundry outside the house
I think we are going to go to my parent's house and do the wash we need to do. The only thing about dropping it off somewhere is that there are certain things I don't put in the drier and there is just something about having people was my underwear and bras that brothers me.
I am really appreciating having our own washer and drier now.

We have it picked up at our door and dropped back at our door.

Exactly...and if you drop it off, there is no guarantee you will have it back today, I know the place we use charges soo much extra too.

I would drop it off. I used to love that. Drop it off and pick it up later all nice and folded.

Re: Doing Laundry outside the house
Ugh...I HATED those days. Honestly I NEVER dropped my laundry off. I'm VERY particular on how my laundry gets done. The only people I trust with my laundry is myself and DH.
Good luck Scott....I hope your contractor wakes up and gets the job done!

Welcome to my life every 2 weeks! I have never owned a w/d.
I would go to your ILs or do it yourself.
