Dolch Word Lists???
My son's K teacher sent home a Dolch words list (never heard of this) and it is broken into columns Pre-primer - third.
Does the "third" mean 3rd grade? because DS knows all the words on the entire list already and I was wondering if that means he is advanced in terms of word recognition and reading for his age (5).
Should I work on helping him learn (memorize) how to spell the words now?

Re: Dolch Word Lists???
If your DS knows all of the words on the lists through grade 3 he has great sight word recognition. I would suggest start him reading and see how he does when the words are in context...a-z reading has printable leveled books by guided reading level. I would try him out in a level g based on his sight word ability and you could drop down or go up a letter level as needed. The levels start at aa and go up to z. Keep in mind he may read fluently at certain levels but not really understand the story. I have a first grade student who can read at a level j fluently but cannot comprehend at that level. Good luck and happy reading!

Thanks for the reply. I'll find him some of the books from the site you listed and see if he can read them and then tell me about the story afterward.

Re: Dolch Word Lists???
from what I know there are 11 lists. I'm not sure how the list numbers break down by grade but it goes from K-3. (List 1 being K and list 11 being 3rd)
here's some websites to better help you.
Wikipedia
Teacher created page
Hope that helps!
