Dole Salad Recall

I received a message from Shoprite that I purchased a bag of salad that has been included in the Dole recall, linked to Listeriosis. So, I tend to go right to worst case scenario with everything and of course I am freaking out.

I am not in a high risk category. I am not pregnant or have a weakened immune system.

But this just makes me nervous. I ate the salad last night. It can take up to 70 days for symptoms to occur. ugh.

ugh im freaking out. i buy 2-3 packages of dole salads a week, every week since October 1st at least non stop... and it said NY was on the list.

I ate from a bag yesterday that is on the recall list and I am pregnant. I am very very upset. Haven't felt sick today but I am worried. Anyone know if this takes some time to kick in?

I got the call from stop and shop. They didn't say I purchased a bag that was recalled. Just that this particular salad has been recalled and if I had questions have contact #s

Best is we just finished a bag yesterday and the garbage men picked up trash this morning. So I can't even go into the trash and check the # on it.

You think if I call stop and shop they can say if my store had those bags? They said they are pulling ALL dole salads. Even ones without that code. So maybe they are just being cautious?

Yes, waiting for them to call me back. I am besides myself. I don't even know what if anything they can do at this point.

I had a bag last week of Dole's Caesar Salad and had another bag here and just checked this one and I have the "A" they listed as the beginning to the bad # so now I'm very nervous if the other bag we ate was also bad(bought at same supermarket but a week apart).

My Ob said to just be aware if you feel naseous, vomiting, diarreah, stiff neck etc.. They cant test for listeria it is just a waiting game. She claims ud have symptoms within 24 hrs but online it says it could be after much longer. So much for a nice relaxing wkend. Praying it is nothing for all of us.

ETA: I read online it can take 2 months to show symptoms. That is so disconcerting. If somehow you do have listeria they then can test blood or spinal fluid.

ugh, we had some like two days ago from Shop Rite, I can't even check the bag bc its long gone in the garbage.

From what I'm reading, this has been going on since July. And they just now linked it to the dole salads

We've probably eaten a lot of it and nothing happened



So since July, 12 people , 4 from NY (I can't find where in Ny tho) got sick. Odds are good that most of us should be ok

We ate the salad, classic romaine with the letter A. If you ate one, how concerned are you? ANd it could take up to 2 mths to show up???

My brother and SIL are freaking out because they had Dole salad and it was one of the bags listed.

I'm pregnant and a little nervous because I get a salad from the same restaurant every week. I know it said something about restaurants being told not to serve them, so now I'm wondering what type of salad they use.

I've stopped eating these bagged salads a looong time ago because there are always recalls on it. One time my DH had some salad with his dinner and I didn't have any that night and he got so sick the next day. I had never seen him that sick so far, I almost took him to the hospital. We never ate bagged salad after that.

i got the message too and i used half my bag this week. I didnt check if it was even in the letters of the recall. i will toss it today.

figures..eating salad to be healthy and i'll get sick from listeria.
