dollar tree pregnancy tests?
what are the pros and cons from them?

well here are two pros for me.
1) they are cheap and inexpensive
buying the other ones every month can be expensive.
2) I got my 1st BFP with a dollar tree test.
I believe if you are pregnant..it will show up no matter what test you take. I think the more expensive ones are just more sensitive and can detect early pregnancy. I took a test when I was a few days late and it showed up (+) on the dollar tree tests.
my advice is to buy a couple and test with those first. If you question it or get a faint positive or just want to validate then use one of the more expensive brands like EPT or clearblue easy to confirm.
I bought the clearblue easy line and digital test to confirm after I took the dollar tree tests.

I got my BFP on a dollar tree test at 10 dpo, so I think they work fine!

my doctors office uses the same ones!! no con's other then its not digital so if its a faint line your not always sure
you will save a lot of $ by using them. as soon as you get your BFP just by a digital to be sure.

Yes, my Dr.s office uses it. I had tested very early & gotten a BFN with Early response but a BFP with Clear Blue (neither digital)
The Dr. gave me a dollar tree test at 12 days PO & it was +

Yup, my Dr's office used it to confirm the pregnancy. Whats weird about them though is you can't really judge the darkness of the line.. Like, when my OB's office used it on me at 10wks, the test line was still lighter than the control line.. I figured by then it would be super dark!! In any case, it WILL give you an accurate result and a line is a line!
I used dollar tree tests at first.. but then I moved on to FRER.

I did sort of the same.. I used an FRER and confirmed with a CBE digital

i dont know about the dollar tree ones but to save $ i personally dont test. it drives me nuts to spend soo much $ on those tests. i go old fashioned and just wait to see if AF shows. I have used maybe 2 tests in the past 5 motnhs. idk how i stay sane enough to wait but somehow i manage...plus i always think if i test early it will be chemical and then i would be even more depressed than if it was just a BFN.

that's right...when we went to the dr when I was preggo with DS my DH was shocked to see that the dr used the same exact test as the dollar tree.
they are great to use before you actually are supposed to get your period if you are dying to POAS bc they are so cheap...I'd rather throw out a few dollars as opposed to the money the regular tests cost
