Domestic flight-toddler ID
The only thing we need to bring is the birth certificate, right? I tried calling the airlines but can’t reach a human

Children under 18 do not need any form of ID to fly domestically per the TSA website:
Children
TSA does not require children under 18 to provide identification when traveling with a companion within the United States.
I have never brought anything for DD when we fly.

I have never brought anything for DD when we fly.
It does go on to say some airlines may require it and to check with your airline, especially if the seat is discounted or free.
ETA: I'd always rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

If they are flying free because they are under a certain age, then yes you may need it to prove age.
We only ever flew with DD after she was 2 and therefore had to pay for a seat and have never once been asked for it.
I prefer not to carry a BC unless absolutely necessary since I worry about losing it.

I just flew with my kids, I brought a copy of their BC just in case but no one checked.
