Donating Gently Used Toys... Does anyone do this?
I have a TON of dog toys that I would like to donate, and I was wondering if there is a shelter or some place that would accept these toys as a donation.
Does anyone do this? If so, where do you bring your items? I live in Merrick, so somewhere near there would be best.

I would call some local shelters to see if they accept them. Most of the shelter I've donated to require the toys to be new (probably for health and safety reasons).

People seem to leave toys at dog park for others to play with.. Which isn't really donating, but if shelters won't take used toys, better than throwing out perfectly good toys...

I donated many things to the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter off Wantagh ave in Wantagh. Its on Beltagh. They love donations.

I'd just call up or go to any local shelter.
I've donated food in the past.
There's no such thing as a gently used toy in my house, lol. They are all eventually ripped to pieces.
