Don't forget "Stamp out Hunger" tomorrow
Please remember to place a bag of non-perishable food items by your mail box for the annual letter carriers Stamp Out Hunger Campaign.
This is the time of year when food banks need to restock more than ever and in this economy more families are tunring to them. They also take toiletry items as well.
I was just getting my bag ready to go for tomorrow

I have some jarred baby food that was given to me that I won't be using.
From what I saw on one of the morning shows they are asking NOT to donate anything in glass bottles.

I am leaving for the weekend from my office and left a bag that contains a jar of sauce - should I see if I can ask a family member to remove the jar of sauce?

I would.
I found this on the Stamp our Hunger website.
"Donate items like canned meats, fish, soup, juice and vegetables and pasta, cereal and rice. Please do not include items that have expired or are in glass jars"
