don't know were else to ask this...
Unfortunatley my neice just called to tell me that she just found out that she is pregnant. She's 20 years old, still lives at home, just broke up with her boyfriend and lost her job all last week. And to top it all off she's got NO health insurance. She asking me for advice and I have no idea what to tell her. Does she have any options? Are there any programs that can help someone in her situation?
Any advice on this will be greatly appreciated.

tell her to get a job quickly some places make u work there 6 months to get coverage others 1 month. this way she gets insurance and has a job. does she have a home? can she stay with family?

She can try Planned Parenthood. They have all services including OBGYN servies as well as others should she decide something else.

OH, she also may qualify for child health plus. There is one that covers a woman's pregnancy and ALL services related to the pregnancy.

Yes. Also, try adoption agencies. Sometimes, the adoptive parents will pay for medical expenses for mother & child.

Yes, medicaid is automatic if you are pregnant with no health insurance.
In a lot of cases medicaid is better then an HMO anyway.

If she has no health insurance she can apply for Medicaid (they have to accept you if you're pg) and they will cover the baby once it is born.

No advice except to listen to her & ask her what she wants to do. Then give her information on her choice.

She can go to any hospital clinic and apply for Medicaid which will cover all her medical expenses including labor & delivery.
I was a mother to a 1 year old by when I was 20 and remember it being difficult so please be there for her as much as possible. Men come & go in peoples life so she shouldn't stress the fact their not together. It's obvious their not together for some reason! She needs to get a job to keep herself active & positive throughout the next few months!
