Doppler question - repost for experienced mommies
With my DD I first got it at 11 weeks and picked up her HB right away.
With this pregnancy I got it at 8 weeks. Is that too soon to hear the HB? I hear my HB and I hear my placenta working nicely, but I don't hear the baby's HB. I have a digital doppler. Every now and then I see a number of 140 something or 150 something flash up but I don't hear the actual HB and then the screen clears. Do you think that's it and it's just too early to hear it clearly or just a misread in moving the doppler around?

Re: Doppler question - repost for experienced mommies
nope...I heard one heartbeat as early at 6 weeks, and both my boys at 7 weeks....but that was at the Dr.'s office.

Re: Doppler question - repost for experienced mommies
Really? Now I'm worried that I'm not hearing it.

It's probably too soon.
I remember trying at around 10 weeks and still having a little trouble pinpointing it.
I think it was around 12 weeks that it was loud and clear consistantly.

Re: Doppler question - repost for experienced mommies
I wouldnt worry. The earliest I heard it, at home, was 9 weeks and that was after A LOT of searching.

Thanks!
And thanks girls for the reassurance. I'm SO paranoid - I wish I never had a m/c in the past!

I agree and same for me, i had to press down too that early. GO really slow when you do it, you could miss the heartbeat since the baby is sooo little.
