Dorito lovers...do you find they have changed over the years (not for the better)?
I have loved Doritos since I was a kid. But I find they have gotten worse and worse....Now am I right, in that the flavor when we were kids was more like the Taco Flavor (vs the nacho)? I started buying the new/old Taco ones when they came out again. They were good. But they went over board with the seasonings on them and now I think they are awful. I wont buy them. Same goes for the nacho (red bag). They have gotten so packed with flavor that they overpower the taste. Too much seasoning/cheese, and barely any corn taste anymore. I know I sound crazy but this has been driving me batty trying to figure out why they keep ruining them over the years when I used to love them.

Hmmm, I definitely think you're right- there is more flavor. But too much cheese has NEVER been a complaint of mine. But that's just my personal preference, I get what ya mean. And I never eat the taco flavored ones anymore- I wasn't always the biggest fan (though I'd eat them) but now I really don't like them.

It's funny. Growing up I preferred Doritos to Bravos (do they still make them)? Now I find myself preferring any brand other than Dorito (such as Herrs or Bachman, or store brand ones).
All I can say is they messed up a good thing. Why am I thinking of this NOW? I just ate some Bachman party mix and had the taco chip in it and thought of it.

When I was a teenager I loved Cool Ranch, I have had them a cple times in the last cple years and to me they are just okay now. Not sure if my taste changed or the chip.

I find a LOT of products have changed over the years, and not for the better!! I wonder if the companies are too concerned about making the product, "healthy" that the taste is gone? Just a thought. Mary

See, I've ALWAYS hated Bravo chips. still hate them. Hate them. Now party mix, I can get with! My favorite is actually the Munchies mix because I like the sun chips and doritos together. Maybe that's how I get them to be more corn chippy. lol!

My husband would be applauding you right now. He goes on and on about how good the old doritos were and how much they've changed. He thinks it all started when the bag changed
He will also tell you the same thing about Ellios.

So I am NOT crazy!!! It drives me nuts how awful they have slowly become over the years. I could eat them and never get sick of them. Now they make me sick when I eat them.
LOL
And I didn't eat Ellio's as a kid. I do buy it here and there now....I can only imagine how it has changed into a crappier form.

I do like the Munchie mix in general, but again, I find it has too much cheesy seasoning. They could tone that down a bit, just like the Doritos. Tone down the seasoning, they are so loaded with orange powder....it tastes gross, too much of it.

I seek out the chips with the most seasoning on them so to me, it's a good thing if they add more flavor lol
