front/back or side by side?

do I HAVE to get the front/back because it'll hold an infant car seat?

Re: double stroller question...

my lil ones are 20 months apart. and i went with the front and back double stroller. i just found it alot easier to manuever and fit thru certain doorways and stuff like that.

Re: double stroller question...

I got the front to back, I actually got the Sit and Stand from One Step Ahead and I love it. Mine were two years apart though, which I felt was perfect for it.

Re: double stroller question...

I got the front to back, because I personally feel like the side by side strollers are akward. That and I needed to be able to use the infant seat.

You read my mind Shana, I was thinking about this too. DH and I were trying to figure out what we need to buy.

I was looking at this BabyTrend double stoller. The back seat converts into the sit and stand function, which will be great when #1 gets older.

Re: double stroller question...

Combi makes a side-by-side that you can use an infant seat, but you may have to purchase that one to use in the stroller.

I love my side-by-side. I used the tandem and didn't care for it.

Re: double stroller question...

Certain models of side-by-side have infant seat accommodations... I researched the Mountain BuggyStroller It allows you to use a bassinet or an infant seat.

Re: double stroller question...

I have no idea what I'm going to do, but I think I'm definitely going to utilze the Baby Bjorn this time so I can continue to get use out of my single Pliko. I love it and am so depressed even thinking of buying a double!

I asked a few friends with children close together, they did not like the front/back (cumbersome, hard to turn, impossible to get through store doors by yourself...I'm a spaz doing it with one!). The sit/stand option looks good, but I don't know what Katherine will be like at that point...could she "handle" it?

So, basically, I don't know what I'm going to do, but I guess I'll start with testing them in the store.

i think the pliko has tha step thing in the back you can use for older chidren (at least the p3 one says it can be used for that in the book.....not sure if i would, or if you dd would be able to hang on and all but.......)

Re: double stroller question...

I have a front and back one (Graco Duoglider) that is good for shopping but SUX for walks in the neighborhood. It's pretty heavy with them both in it, and trying to turn, get up hills, over big cracks in the sidewalk is tough, even for my brother who is in really great shape.

I'm thinking of getting a double jogger for walks and leaving the duoglider in the trunk.
