We got the baby trend sit n' stand from Target.. we love it and it's a pretty good price.

How does Ryan do in the jump seat? I want to get it but I feel like I might not be able to control him when he has a melt down. Although he might think it's "cool" to sit in it.
To the OP..my 2 are 15 months apart and I have the Graco Tour double. It is starting to get heavy to push now that my kids are 28lbs and 19lbs and the stroller is 38lbs I think. Then add my diaper bag, my bag and what ever I purchase.

I think it depends on your child. If she sits nicely in the stroller then she will probably do well. I was in the mall recently and saw a little girl on the jump seat and I thought she was 2.5-3 because she was tall. I was chatting with the mom about the sit-n-stand (she had the one from onesteapahead which is the same as the baby trend one) and her oldest wasn't even 2 yet. My DS on the other hand, well I am not sure how he would do. I think it would be hit or miss.

We got this one as well. I have to say, I've barely needed to use it at all--DD#1 basically walks everywhere alongside the Pliko. We literally live 4 houses down from a park, so we're not walking all over the neighborhood. Also, in stores with shopping carts, DD#1 goes in the basket, while #2 sits in the seat. When DD#2 was an infant, it was opposite (she was in the carrier). I'm not sure how far apart yours will be, but my girls are 20 mos. apart (and they're 1 and 2.5 now). DD#1 never liked sitting in a stroller and she certainly NEVER fell asleep in one, so a typical double would have been a HUGE waste.
Actually, I bought a cheapo umbrella stroller for DD#1 and we used it last week in Philadelphia. Each one of us pushed one and that was fine too for situations when we'll all be together and there's a lot of walking involved.

He does really good. Granted, we have only used it a few times as we picked it up a month ago, but he loves to sit in it and doesn't really mind it. I was in the mall with my mom this week and he had a bit of a meltdown because he didn't want to leave Stride Rite, but once he was strapped in, he couldn't get loose as much as he tried, and then was fine. I really like it and it was a pretty good price.

yep, I think it fits most brands. We have a Graco one and no problems.

That's exactly what I was going to ask! DD will only be 18 mos old when the baby arrives, I don't think she's ready to stand on the back.

Their is a little seat on the back that you can't see and it has a seat belt. I think 18 monhts is to young for a sit-n-stand. I would go with a regular double stroller.

I have the sit and stand (from One Step Ahead) and love it. Using it 2 years now. My oldest was 2 and always sat nicely in the jump seat and stayed buckled in, so he wasn't running all over. He's 4 now and I still use it if I'm in a mall, and he stands or sits, but he still uses it even though he could walk, it's nice for him to be able to sit if he needs too. Best investment since I had 2 kids.

Mine are 21 months apart and we got the Graco DuoGlider. It's bulky, but it maneuvers really well. I decided to get that one bc Nate often falls asleep in the stroller when we are out for a while. Now that Nate is older, I may consider getting the Sit n Stand. But for now the DuoGlider works for us.
