doulas?
Is anyone using a doula, or do you know someone who did? What's your opinion on them? It's still very early for me - I'm only 11 weeks - but I'm just curious about this. I know that I don't want an epidural... I'm more afraid of that than of the pain I think. I'm just not sure if I "need" a doula or not. Hubby is quite supportive and I'm sure he'd be great... but, of course, he's never had a baby! TIA.

Re: doulas?
I think doulas are a nice luxury, not necessary. I have friends who used doulas and were very happy. I didn't because I preferred to be alone with hubby in the effort, but I can see how it would have been helpful.

I think doulas are great. I've heard good things about Helen Dressner
