Downton Abbey- THIS season- Season 5 -SPOILERS!! (not aired in US yet)
Again..this is a poiler alert for the season that has NOT YET AIRED in the US.
YOU ARE WARNED!!!!!!
OMG!!!! So I am waiting for the season finale as we all are.
I cried when Isis died...I don't understand what killing her off did.
And I loved the scene with Nora and the sister in law confronting Edith about her daughter at the publishing company.
I'm glad they found a way to bring the baby back to Downton. I KNEW they would eventually...but glad they did.
And is it possible to love Baxter more? I LOVE her.
I must have "missed" something, but I didn't realize Barrow was trying to "get the gay away". I guess I didn't realize until Baxter tried to help him.
And ANNA!!!! I SAW it coming on the episode she was interviewed in when they said they saw her going to wassinames house in London. I KNOW Bates is going to say he did it to save her.
And I saw a special on PBS about Downton. They are hinting at at a wedding. Im guessing its Isabellas at the finale in Dec?
Thoughts?????

I loved this season. I thought it was better than the last. I still feel so badly for poor Edith. She really gets the short end of the stick. Glad she gets to keep the baby at Downton, but thought that story line went on and on a little too much. I felt bad for the woman who had to give up the child!!!
Also felt bad for Barrow when he was poisoning himself. How terrible. He just wants to be happy as he sees the rest of the staff having romances and pairing off.
When are Mr. Carson and Mrs. Hughes gonna finally get together already lol
Also, i am back to hating Mary again.
Poor Anna. They will get her back!

I was liking Mary too but now, yes. Don't like her much.
I don't want Tom to leave with Sibbie.
And Im glad that Baxter told Clara about the criminal past before Barrow could.

They killed off Isis because of the ISIS/ISIL situation and the beheading of two British journalists/relief workers.
Britain has a real problem with growing Islamic fundamentalism in their own country. The July 7, 2005 bombings were carried out by British nationalists. After the murder of the British soldier in broad daylight on a London street last year and self-appointed mutaween threatening all residents in violation of Sharia law in London's East End (60 Minutes recent story), the country is under tremendous pressure. The producers wanted no further reference to the name Isis.

I knew Brittan had a problem, I just didnt think that it would go so far as to "kill off" the dog because of her name.

How much time has elapsed on Downton Abbey? The pilot made mention of the Titanic. I think they lost a family member? Maybe Mary's fiancé? It's well over ten years later now. Isis was an old dog. And by the way Mary has turned into such a B.......or was she always so awful?
