Dr. Appointment today
Nothing has changed, my cervix is still long and closed. Baby A is still breech. I guess bed rest does what it is supposed to!
One negative thing - I am taking lovenox which can mean I can't get an epidural or spinal for a c-sec. I was supposed to switch to heparin but the dr. found out while I was there it was being recalled. This means I have to stay on lovenox. My hematologist said in her opinion I am on such a low dose the epi/spinal should be fine, but in the end its the decision of the anesthesiologist. This could mean I might have to go under general to have a c-section, which I REALLY, REALLY do not want. I don't want a c-sec at all, but since baby A is breech I don't really have a choice. To be under general anesthesia would just be devastating. I wouldn't know my babies are being born, DH wouldn't be able to be there... If I have a scheduled c-sec, it shouldn't be a problem because I can stop taking it. But if I go into labor on my own, this could happen.

Re: Dr. Appointment today
I am sorry-- that sucks. Do you have a c-section scheduled already? If I were you, I would get one on the books with enough time to ensure you won't go into labor, and you can stop taking the medication.
If you are waiting to see if you can do it naturally, that's another thing-- but I guess you have to weigh your options if there is a chance that you would have to go completely under.

Re: Dr. Appointment today
If it doesn't look like Baby A will turn, then would you feel comfortable just scheduling your C? This way at least you can be in control and awake for the surgery? I know you'd rather go natural and hope that baby turns, but if your OB doesn't think this will happen and you're still going to be on bedrest, what are the odds of baby a flipping? How many weeks are you and what is the earliest your dr would let you schedule a C?

Re: Dr. Appointment today
Is your OB open to scheduling a "C" ??? I can totally understand your want to be awake during the procedure - if theres anyway possible to schedule it and the babies have no risks, I would definately try to schedule

No, baby A most likely will not turn, there is no room in there. They keep telling me though they won't schedule me for the section until a week before my due date. I am 34 and a half weeks now. My cervix is still long and closed and I had another FFN today. Maybe based on the results of today's FFN I can get them to schedule me earlier. I know they want to wait as long as possible, and unless there are no other issues that will be 39 weeks.

I hope it works out for you! Maybe they'll meet you halfway and let you schedule it for 37/38 weeks. And just don't move a muscle between now and then!
