dr related question-update question
I just found out last night that my son is going in for a small procedure today. He is getting a ph probe put through his nose, and it will stay in for 24 hours. He is almost 7 months old.
My GI is the one who recommends it. I am apprehensive about this so I called the ped today because I wanted to talk to him about it (have a great relationship with him...he was my ped). I left a message with the lady at the desk, and she said that she wasn't sure if he could get back to me before the appt at 2, because he usually did his calls between 1-2. I asked her to please try, and again expressed my concern, and how I was calling him as somewhat of a second opinion.
I have yet to get a call. I am a little upset over it, one because I am nervous to have it done, and two, because I can't believe he hasn't called me back.
Do I have a right to be a little upset, or am I just overreacting because I am nervous?
ETA: I called at 8:30 this morning, when they opened.
UPDATE: I didn't hear back from them at all yesterday. Would you have expected to hear back?

Re: dr related question
I see both sides-----as someone who worked in a medical office, I know how truly busy things can be and how I made my calls during a certain period of the day unless it was a true emergency. But, its not like you knew ahead of time about this. I would call back and see if you can speak to him now as its his time to make calls. ETA hugs for your son & you while he has his procedure
