Dr. Susan Cunningham? Anyone use her?

My nephew is 1 year, he has been seen by 2 neurolgoists who have said he is showing signs of autism. He is getting EI, OT, Speech, and feeding.

Wondering if anyone has used this lady in levittown to help with the treatment of autism. or if anyone has heard anything good or bad about the treatments

susan cunningham

Any feedback is appreciated, and any rec's about what other kinds of treatments or therepys we can do to try to help him.

My sister lives in east rockaway.

I havent used her. I just started taking my son to a person who specializes in NAET. We have gone a few times for 3 treatments.
It is pretty amazing what they do.
I do the NAET because my son has intolerances to food.
Has he been tested before for food allergies?? I hade bloodwork doen, and it was amazing that the guy I take my son to hit them all on the nail without looking at his bloodwork.

I use someone in Smithtown.

Thanks for putting this up. I am actually going to give her a call. Don't know her, but it sounds really interesting, and can't see how it would hurt.Chat Icon

We went for 6 months and sadly saw no change whatso ever. I even went as far as putting my son on a strict diet for 18 months and nothing changed. My nephew also went to someone in Smithtown and remained the same. I know it sounds like a good thing but really a vile in your sock is going to cure you? That's all I'll say but my personal opinion I'd save the 65. bucks a visit and try something more medically proven.

Thank you for your opinion on this treatment.

If you could recommend another treatment that is more medically proven its much appreciated

Gosh if I only knew of one I'd be the first to share. I just don't want to see people spend money and get there hopes up (like I did) which is why I wanted to share my experience. I thought it was far-fetched with the muscle testing (she tested me too and I could feel her pushing my arm) but again I wanted to try it on my son. I gave it 6 months and after seeing nothing change I stopped. I then took him to an alergist (before NAET and afterwards) and the results were the same. Anyway's honestly the only proven thing to work at this point in time is therapy and ABA. GL!

Thank you for this, I know there is no miracle or cure, i guess its just hard to accept that. I am not sure if we will try the NAET, something that we need to do more research on. but i appreciate your help

Re: Dr. Susan Cunningham? Anyone use her?

Im going to eliminate allergies. I think the sake of going to just because you have a child in the spectrum, not sure you may get the results you are looking for. If your child has no allergy or intolerances. Then maybe this is not the right therapy.I don't know if this will work. I just want him to be able to eat more foods without having a reaction.

Re: Dr. Susan Cunningham? Anyone use her?

I agree with Diane. I know my dd has intestinal/digestive issues. And her moods and behaviors have been proven to be connected to a variety of things like "yeast/candida" overgrowth (she deals with chronic diaper rash), mineral deficiencies, etc. In fact, as soon as I started giving my dd a multivitamin with a good dose of b vitamins, her language emerged. As soon as we incorporated more potassium in her diet, she started mouthing things less.

I think for some people their immune systems could be the reason their neurological systems are suffering.

It's like 'infertility" or 'pregnancy loss". Sometimes (not always) the immune system plays a huge role in why things don't work. I know it did for me.
