dragon tatto withdrawal
I just finished the trilogy and I'm suffering withdrawal. Although I don't think they were the best novels, I became so absorbed with Lizbeth's character, I miss her in my life! Anyone have any next suggestions?

I know exactly what you mean! If you find anything else, let me know! I've yet to find a suitable replacement!

Re: dragon tatto withdrawal
I loved the characters in those books but I also really liked the Scandinavian setting, so I've read some other mysteries set there. I like Henning Mankell's Wallender series and Jo Nesbo's Harry Hole novels. Camilla Lackberg has also written mysteries set in Sweden, The Ice Princess (very good) and The Preacher (on my to-read list).
Smilla's Sense of Snow by Peter Hoeg is a book often grouped with Steig Larson's but I couldn't get into it. The main character, though, is pretty similar to Salander's- a misfit, brilliant, difficult family dynamics.
