Dream Feeding
DD is just about three months. Lately, she's been going to bed around 8ish. She has a bottle right before bed (about 7ish), but some nights, she is just too tired to eat and will only take an ounce or two. When this happens, she's usually up by 12 and then again VERY early in the morning (4-5 am) for another feeding. On the nights that she takes a full bottle (6-7oz) at 7, she won't wake up until about 2-3. I was wondering if I should start dream feeding? If I "top her off" around 10 or so when I go to bed, do you think it would stretch her? I'm afraid if I try this I will just wake her up and she will refuse the bottle because she's half asleep.

Re: Dream Feeding
I did it with my first DD and it worked great. She would go to bed around 6:30 and then around 10:00 (before I went to bed) I would pick her up and nurse her. I would get about 5 hours sleep from there until the next waking. She didn't even open her eyes but fed like she was awake....maybe it had to do with nursing. Now, I have a 9 week old and I would never do it with her at this point. She wakes up with the slightest noise or movement so it would never work.
I guess what I am saying is that you have to know your child or be willing to risk waking her. Trying it once of twice couldn't hurt....the worst that will happen is you will have to get her back to sleep.
