DREAMS PUNTA CANA
Hhas anyone ever stayed there? If not any hotel recomendations in Punta Cana. DH and I are thinking of going the first week of December!

Excellence Punta Cana - Went there for our HM and are in love with the Excellence chain now. Check out the reviews on Trip Advisor.

My friends stayed at Dreams about 3 years ago and gave it rave reviews.
We ended up choosing Excellence when we went in Feb and we really enjoyed it!
Just know what to expect in the DR - Punta Cana is about an hour away from the airport, all the resorts are. It is a third world country, so the roads are not good. Some of the staff didn't speak english very well (or at all), but I think this has more to do with the educational opportunities and not the resort. I just saw some people make these complaints on trip advisor and didn't think they were fair and need to be put into perspective.

We went to the Excellence resort in June 2009 for a vacation to celebrate DH's 30th bday. We loved it!
I agree with the statement above - you just have to be smart about the place you are going.
When we were being driven to the resort, a few people were in the van with us for Dreams. It's a beautiful resort, but there was some construction going on there in the front this summer.
