Dreams Punta Cana
If anyone has been, hows the food?
Also can you explain the a la carte restaurants? so if you want to go to those you have to pay out of pocket?

Re: Dreams Punta Cana
Haven't been to Dreams in Punta Cana but went to Dreams in Costa Rica and Puerto Aventures in Mexico. All the restaurants are included no matter if you do buffet or al la crate. Private dinner on the beach or in the wine cellar are usually the only ones were you pay extra.
Also they have dress codes for the restaurants. No sleeveless for men in any restaurant ever. Dinner men must wear pants and collared shirt and closed toe shoes. If the restaurant has outdoor seating they can wear shorts.
I went to their adults only resort Secrets Cap Cana in the DR and the food was good.
Have fun!

I went to Dreams in La Romana, DR and had the same experience re: the restaurants and dress code for men - and they were pretty strict about it. The food was decent - I don't think you ever find really great food at an all inclusive, but it wasn't bad. (I just came back from Iberostar in Punta Cana and the food was NOT good - worst AI I've ever been to, at least as far as food goes)

Re: Dreams Punta Cana
My husband and I went to the Excellence in Playa Mujerrs and the food was beyond amazing. I’m a bit of a foodie so I’m hoping Dreams is good. This is the first time taking the kids to an all inclusive so it’s more pricey this time around (and we can’t go top notch on the place since there’s 5 of us) and I realize I can’t be too picky about the food.
For 5 of us with airfare for 6 nights is $4300 in October. Is that a good price you think?

Re: Dreams Punta Cana
I was at dreams in Punta Cana back 4 years ago.
We loved the French restaurant the best.
And the buffet was fantastic there.
We never had to pay anything extra at the restaurants unless you want to buy a bottle of wine... But you get unlimited glasses of wine...
