Dress for Wedding Help! Update!

Help me pick a dress for a NYC wedding in October. I wanted something lace and fit and flare... to hide my mummy tummy. Chat Icon

All around the same price from Nordstrom. The first two come in petite which works well for me. The last one looks short so I wouldn't go for a petite even if it was available.

Re: Dress for Wedding Help!

I love them all!

But if I had to chose an order in which I love them I'd go with #2 first, then #3.
The only reason #1 isn't my favorite is the neckline
For ME, I prefer a v neck over a high neck line like that.
#3 has a high neck line too but because it's sleeveless I prefer it to the cap sleeves of #1

But they are alll so pretty and would work

Torn between 1 & 2 (so I didn't vote) - love them both! 3 is pretty too, but I like the other two better

Re: Dress for Wedding Help!

I tried the first one on and it's very cheaply made. I'd go with 2.

Hmm that worries me a little- they're both the same brand....

But I was leaning toward 2 because of the neckline. I sometimes feel like the high neckline makes my boobs look saggy (yay breastfeeding! Chat Icon).

I find a lower neckline is more flattering on everyone to be honest.

I ordered #2 because it's on sale 40% off right now. If it's horrible, I'll send it back and get #3... they have a lot of colors and sizes available for the last one so I'm not too worried about it selling out.

Thanks everyone! Chat Icon

Are these Besty Johnson dresses?

I like V necks over any other style

No- he top two are Eliza J and the bottom is BB Dakota.

I did see a Betsey Johnson that I liked, too, though.

But I have it in my head that I wanted something lace, plus I don't want to wear a weird or strapless bra.

So I got my dress last night! I LOVE it. It's nice, quality lace, not cheap at all. The fit is perfect. I'm glad I went with petite (I'm 5'4) since it hits just a little above the knee. And guys... it has POCKETS! Chat Icon
