drinking around baby... what do you think
DH told me I was so "classy" because I was drinking a glass of wine at a BBQ yesterday while Roman was sitting in my lap. Geez it's not like I was doing keg stands or anything

I just had a glass of wine with dinner tonight and DH a beer while DD was with us. I see no problem unless you get smashed in front of your child.

Unless you are intoxicated or drinking heavily, I see nothing wrong with drinking while your child is around.

I think there's nothing wrong at all with drinking in front of a baby/child. I wouldn't agree with getting fall down, passed out drunk. But drinking and maybe even getting a little buzzed I think is totally fine. Unless of course you're alone with the baby or driving, but I think that goes unsaid!

I don't see a problem with it. As long as your ok to drive and function well in case an emergency happened. Especially since most of gave up drinking for atleast 10 months even longer if BFing
I won't be photographed near my son with alcohol though..lol. Kinda like how I tried to hide my beer pictures from my Mom my freshman year of college..lol
Hmm.. wonder what Mommy is hiding.???
It was his 1st birthday. I had 30+ adults at my house and needed one beer... OK!!

I agree. I never have (always waited until he was in bed or somebody was watching him), but I wouldn't look down on somebody else doing it.

LOL - great answer.
I have had drinks in front to my son plenty of times. I have never gotten drunk or anything in front of him. But 2-3 drinks - why not???

we were at a BBQ last week and I haven't had a drink in a while so I told Dh Iam goign to have a couple he said go ahead don't worry I will take care of DD. I siad ok not a problem. I tell ya I was buzzed after 4. I stopped and I was ok for the ride home but Fh drove home. We have gone out to dinner with DD and we boht h ad 1 drink while out. THere is nothing wrong with it as long as your not putting your child in jeapordy

I was at Applebees the other day with Jared and a few friends while I was sipping a strawberry margarita. No strange looks...in fact, my girlfriends forced me to have a drink with them.
