driving south - using the chesapeake bay bridge-tunnel
Is it worth while to use the chesapeake bay bridge-tunnel to drive to NC?

Re: driving south
I like that bridge..it depends where you are going to take the bridge...
It beats driving around the belt parkway in dc where there is always unexpected traffic (even before you reach the belt)
DL driving is nice and scenic but after you get off the bridge, you will be on main roads / hwy which you will encounted a light a few miles or so until you get back to a major highway...again depending on where you are going.

We usually just take 95 down to NC...then it turns into 85/40 before you get into NC That is what you will need to take...I believe the other way is a tad longer.
What time are leaving? We usually hit traffic in Virginia
FM me if you want directions into the area
