Driving To NC Next Week With a 9 Months Old - Any Advice
Do you think it is best to leave out in the night so that way she can sleep through. Normally, Ella goes to bed at nights at 8pm and sleep until 5 or 5:30am.
What do you all think? We normally fly to NC but this time we want to drive. What tips can you offer and what do we need to take with us on this long journey? TIA!

We just drove from NC to NY. I, also, thought about driving at night but then we would have been exhausted when we got to NY and DD would have been wide awake. My dh also does not think it is safe to drive at night
we wound up leaving at 5am and the trip went well....bring some snacks, toys and stop a few time for stretch breaks. Good luck and have fun

All the times we have driven to and from NY/NC we have done at night. There is hardly anyone on the road. If you guys can do the drive and stay awake go for it. At night it can be a little tiring cause the roads are dark and fairly straight, so it can get monotonous. So we used to take turns, you don't want to fall asleep at the wheel.

Re: Driving To NC Next Week With a 9 Months Old - Any Advice
Ooh, we just got home from NC on Saturday. We were there for a week.
On the way there, we left at 1 am and Lucas slept until about 6 am. We stopped to feed him, get food for ourselves and then he went back to sleep for the last 3 hours.
COming home we left at 10 pm and got home at 6 am. Lucas slept the ENTIRE TIME! He woke up as we were turning onto our street.
We found it wonderful to drive through the night and have Lucas sleep through it. Plus ZERO traffic... it was great. DH and I took turns driving and we each napped when we were not driving. We were tired, but got through it and it was great keeping DS on his schedule.

Thanks ladies!! We feel it's best to drive in the night. We'll be fine driving through the night as long as we have some Reggae music playing we're good.
