Dr's Appt Today- and My mom is coming.... Update!
And she is sooo freaked out that she'll actually get to see her grandbaby! I was just talking to her on the phone- and she made me walk her thru what was going to happen. So, I told her that they were going to do a sono and she would get to see the baby. And she goes "See the baby? You mean hear the baby." No mom, you will SEE the baby. I hear silence on the other end of the phone. So, I ask her "Whats the matter"......and her response is "Its just sooo different then when I had babies" hahahaha. She gave birth to myself and my 2 brothers, and they didnt do sono's back then. Poor mom- she's freaked out!
Update: Well, we are back. The room with the nice sono machine in it was taken, so we were in the room with the older machine. It was soo grainy- and you could barely make out the baby- but you could see it moving like crazy!!!!!! It actually was on its back (this is a first if you've read my other posts), then got all shy again and flipped to its side- but its arms were moving. My mom didnt really get to see much- but she is going to come with me tomorrow to Madonna for the NT test. They have really good sono machines, so she'll def. be able to see the baby tomorrow.
I just have to say on a more sappy note that it really hit me today when I saw the baby moving how real this is. I am like still in such amazement that there is a living thing inside of me that DH and I created. We are soo in love with that baby already- and cant believe that we have to wait 6 more months to meet it!! 
One more thing: I am proud to announce that I actually lost 7lbs since my last appt!!! Its amazing how much my appetite has gone down!

Awww thats so sweet...I can't wait to show my mom my sono pics (going for my first one on Tuesday)...moms are always so genuinely excited!

That's great. At one of my hospital visits Dr H's NPs was the sono tech. She saws that my mom was in the ER with me & took her in during the sono & my mom also freaked. It was cute!

Aww - your mom is really going to enjoy this visit then. How great that you get to experience her excitement in a whole new way and it's all because of your baby! Yay!!!

My mom is 74 -- and she had me, the last of 6, 40 years ago.
I took her to my Level II.
So I can imagine how your mom is going to react!!!!!!!!!

I have to say that this is a really cute and funny story. I didn't have any sonos with my first [she's 5] because I didn't want to know the sex and my dr. only did them at the hospital. I was fine with it. This time I had this nearly hour long Level 2...like a movie. Really sweet experience, but to be honest I still don't feel like I HAD to have it. I might only have one with the next to be out of the office longer.

Sorry you did not get the good sono, but the ones at MP are sooo much clearer anyway!
I love that feeling when you first see the little squirmy on the sono screen. What a great day for you & your mom!
