dry cleaning - Mineola

Looking for the best bagels, dry cleaning, deli, pizzeria, etc. in Mineola now that I'm a resident! :) Thanks guys!

-----------
I'm bumping this for a specific request -- cheap dry cleaning.... Just dropped off DH's shirts and some pants at Pine Cleaners and they wanted $1.45 for the shirts and $5 for the pants and $5 for a short sleeved shirt! I thought that was a little crazy for the pants and short sleeve collared shirt....there has to be a cheaper place.... thanks in advance!

Re: Mineola recommendations

DH and I lived in Mineola for several yrs before we bought our first home - we loved it there! So convenient!

DH used the dry cleaners right by the train station - the smallest shop possibly in the world but they did a good jobChat Icon

I got my nails done on a place on Jericho Tpke right next to the 800 mattress store - can't remember the name of it now though.

One of our fave restaurants in the area is Benny's - it's in Westbury on Post Ave. really great italian food.

Re: Mineola recommendations

There is also a nail salon ( I don't remember the name of it) on Hillside Ave. in Williston Park across from Peter Andrews. My mom and I used to go there. And there's a bagel place a store or two down that had great bagels.

I grew up In mineola, but haven't lived there for a few years, and things keep changing!

I miss Mineola! Chat Icon

The best pizza IMO is Massaro's on Mineola Blvd near the train station - lots of cheese! - and they make awesome buffalo chicken sandwiches and wings too. DH still hasn't found a place in Manhattan with better wings!

The dry cleaner two doors down is VERY good and she's so sweet. She also does really good alterations.

Just around the corner from there (make a left onto 2nd St. from Mineola Blvd. is a great nail salon - Best Nail.

If you're looking for a cute restaurant, there was one near the corner of Mineola Blvd & Old Country Road called Slate's. The chef was really friendly and would always come out and go around to each table. She was always trying great new recipes and would sometimes bring out samples for us to try Chat Icon.

I work in Mineola and the best Chinese is Wing Wong on Jericho in the CVS shopping center.
The best bagels are also in that center, Bagelboss.
Expressions Salon on Jericho is very good.
Churrasqueria Bairrada is great, we eat there a lot, my boss is Portuguese.
Lareira is another great, very low-ket [ortuguese restaurant on Jericho.
Carlinos pizza is very good, corner of Jericho and Mineola Blvd.
Wilson park is on Westbury Ave, very nice. I go there for lunch sometimes.
La Marmite is a fancy French restaurant owned by a Portuguese man, it's at the end of Willis Ave on Hillside.

Re: dry cleaning - Mineola

There is a one price cleaner in Garden City Park in the Waldbaums shopping center on Jericho Tpke. Best pizza is Momma Theresa's (same shopping center) and Frantoni's on Hillside Ave. in Williston Park. Jani on Mineola Blvd. has the best Chinese/Japanese. Mineola is a great area. I work there and lived there for a few years. You will love the convenience of all the stores and restaurants in the area. Don't forget to go to the Portuguese BBQ on Jericho Tpke.
