Dry cracking upper eye lids / anyone find a great solution?
OMG this is getting so bad now.. I need a solution .. The skin is getting damaged !! Anyone else ever experience this and find a solution? Thanks so much! help me pleeeeeaaaasssseee!

Dry cracking upper eye lids / anyone find a great solution?
My DH is suffering from the same thing right now! The doctor told him to try aquaphor but it's not working. She also suggested if it gets really bad, she can prescribe a steroid cream. He doesn't feel comfortable putting a steroid so close to his eye.

My DH is suffering from the same thing right now! The doctor told him to try aquaphor but it's not working. She also suggested if it gets really bad, she can prescribe a steroid cream. He doesn't feel comfortable putting a steroid so close to his eye.
I went to the Dr .. he gave me 2 different steriod creams .. they work just a little.. Then when I stop it comes right back!! I cant take this any more..

I had this over the summer & moisturizing seemed to make it worse. This helped, me,I don't know if I had the same cause as you though.
Lid scrub
I bought them in the drugstore.

Did you go to a dermatologist?
If not, I'd try that -

Yes a very good one.. Dr Demento in garden city.. Its just dry skin!!!

Are you using something you may be allergic to??? Eyeshadow? Moisturizer?
Whenever this happens to me (on my upper eye lid and just below my bottom lid), I use an OTC 1% cortizone cream/ointment for a couple of days and try to d/c using anything around my eye area to try and rule things out.

I'm having the same problem. I think it's from the Proactive I was using. I stopped using it now because of that. I've been trying to put cream on it whenever I can. I've also just started using coconut oil. It's working a little bit.

I've had this in the winter too. I used Gold Bond medicated moisturizer. I know it's scary to put by the eye but it worked for me.

Ok I went to trader joes.. They have jojoba oil!!! I think this is the answer.. I wased my face with it .. washcolothed it off.. My skin is so soft ang healing.. I will let you know how this pans out!! I am very happy this am!!

OK so its all day long now and my skin is STILL moist!! I cant believe this worked.. I have been struggling since hurricane sandy!!!! I recommend this HIGHLY!!!

I use the ointment that comes in those little tubes, located near the eyedrops in a drug store. They are just mineral oil and petroleum jelly, & several companies make them. It's supposed to be for night time but I use it when I need it. I find that metallic makeup causes me to have this reaction & so do a few other things. I try not to buy metallic anymore even though I like the look. I take Benadryl when it is very bad but it can be drying.
