Dry skin on babies body.

Hi,

My DD has some dry skin patches on her body - on both sides near where her diaper closes....any suggestions to get rid of this?

I have tried johnsons, aveeno and vaseline and so far nothing has worked....I have also stopped bathing her every night and do it every second night instead in case thats drying her skin out.

Any special remedies?

I still have to deal with this..Maddie only takes a bath every 2 days since she was a baby. I use the Aveeno Oatmeal Bath or Dove Body Moisturizing Wash for bath. Johnson & Johnson was too strong. I put it the bathwater rather than on a wash cloth when I wash her.

Also when I was done changing her, I would put lotion on her & give her a mini-baby massage -- which she loved.

Thanks Barbara,....funny you should say you put the lotion in the water as opposed to the cloth...I used to put it in the water and then when she got the dry skin thought it would be better just on the cloth then she wouldnt be sitting in the water and soap!!!I guess that was DUH! on my part and its better in the bathwater not the cloth!

I give her a mini massage too...she loves it.

You were saying you had a book that you were going to take to the GTG last night, can you tell me the name of it?

I use Cetaphil Moisturizing lotion on Nate's face. He has dry skin patches on his cheeks.

Ive always used Aquafor on dry skin patches...it works GREAT!
