DS Christening is Sunday!! Question about desserts...
Ok so we are expecting 90 people. We are having the food catered, but we are making all desserts ourselves. Do you think this is enough?
- Cross Cake from Dortoni - Feeds 75-80 - Cupcakes - I plan on making 2 boxes of cake - Brownies - 2 boxes - Chocolate Chip Cookies - Several Dozen - Pignoli Cookies - Several Dozen - Chocolate Covered Marshmallows We also have White Chocolate Crosses and M&M favors that I will put on the dessert table.
Do you think this is enough??

Re: DS Christening is Sunday!! Question about desserts...
As an FYI, I would be concerned about the cake. We got a sheet cake for DS' 1st birthday and it feed less than the amount of guests I had. I made cupcakes for the kids figuring this would compensate but it didnt and the pieces sliced were TINY and the whole cake was gone (and some guests didnt get any).

Uh oh! I got the biggest one that they make. Do you think I should make some other type of cake? Maybe the Kit Kat Cake, too?

you ordered a full sheet cake? I checked online and it says that it feeds a max of 96-108... not everyone will eat cake but I would just cut the peices very small

It's going to be in the shape of a cross, so not a standard sheet cake. The bakery we used makes them small, medium or large and we got the large. They said it would feed 75-80. I will just cut the pieces small. This cake is going to be vanilla cake with choc ganache and strawberries.... SO maybe I'll make the Kit Kat cake with chocolate cake/frosting to give people who like chocolate another option. Geez! I'm going to be baking up a storm tomorrow. LOL!

That sounds perfect! I don't think you'll need another cake, that sounds fine.
