DS won't eat veggies...
DS started on cereal at 4 months, then added fruits which he loved and now we just started veggies. We tried carrots for 4 days and they made him GAG! Seriously gag. Eyes tearing and everything!  Today we tried sweet potatoes. He didn't gag, but he wouldn't eat them.
What do I do? Keep trying? He's 5 1/2 months now.

I would keep trying. He's probably used to the sweet of the fruit. Maybe try squash and the sweet potatoes again since those are the sweeter of the selection of veggies.

DDs used to gag with almost every single food we tried the first few times. They HATED peas. Now they eat real peas almost every single night for dinner and absolutely love them. Just keep trying, or mix it in with something he likes.

They usually say it takes about 10 attempts before DC likes new foods.... (I'm not sure who "they" are, but I think they're pretty accurate most of the time...  )

The only veggie DS really likes is the sweet potatoes. I tried giving him peas and string beans last week and he would spit them at me so I would put a little peas/string beans on the spoon with a little applesauce and he ate them no problem. I guess the little bit of sweetness makes them edible 
ETA: Every couple of bites I will sneak in a spoonful of just the veggie so he acclamates to the taste.

That's a good idea! If he continues to refuse his veggies, mix some yummy fruit in to disguise the taste.
Does your DS still open his mouth happily for the next bite after you sneak a plain veggie spoonful in?
