DS's First Birthday Party (warning: tons of pictures)
I have not really posted in a while because I went back to work in Feb and have been feeling a little overwhelmed being a working mom. But, I wanted to hop on and thank everyone for all their great support throughout DS's first year and for all the great party ideas.
I can't believe a year has gone by already (well this Tuesday it will really be a year). We had Jake's birthday party at our house today and I have to say I think it was a huge success. I got many ideas from the posts about first birthday's throughout his first year. So thanks to everyone for all the great ideas and info.
We used Small World Entertainment for the Sesame Street puppet show and it was a hit! In keeping with our theme, I made these really cute centerpieces and ties some helium balloons to them. I think they looked adorable if I don't say so myself ;) I was so nervous to make an Elmo cake, but I thought it came out pretty well. I used Miscrosoft photostory to create a photo montage that makes me sob every time I see it! I also stayed up until 2am last night putting the finishing touches on DS's scrapbook (I'll take some pics and post those tomorrow).
