DS's first camping trip
We just got back from DS's first Cub Scout camping trip. It was raining off an on (and when it was on, it was ON!!! ). We had a huge tent/tarp to cover the tables, and for some strange reason, 7-10 year old boys don't really mind the rain and mud..
DS had a great time, and he definitely wants to go again. I was really hoping he would, since I enjoyed camping so much when I was young.

Yay! I'm glad you guys had a great time! My kids still have not gone camping (they aren't scouts and my husband is more the hotel type) - but I plan on getting them out there sometime soon!

Cathedral Pines in Yaphank. The rain actually kept the temps and the humidity down, and the mosquitoes away, so in the end, the rain was a good thing.
It didn't rain all day. We actually went stargazing when it got dark! Most of the sky was very clear. We could see maybe 75% or more of the sky at any one time.
