Ds's teacher just came back after being out for months???

I guess this is more of a vent. My son is in an 8:1:4 class. his teacher has been out for months, and just returned Monday. I feel it was wrong for her to come back to this class since the year was almost over. He just got settled in with the sub, and now its changed all over again. I know there is nothing I can do. I just think they should think a little with a special needs class... any thoughts??

She probably doesn't have a choice. Many district tell you how much time you can take, and you might even have to come back the very last week of school if that's how your time falls.

Although I realize this is hard for your son, it must be hard on her as well. It is NEVER easy to come back to work, especially as a teacher where the students have been in a different routine for months. I had to do this twice and I didn't have a choice when to come back.

School systems aren't always in the best interest of the kids.

I can completely understand your frustration. It's like starting from scratch.
