DS's toes and fingertips cracking/peeling- pic
Anyone else experience this? I think it may have something to do with swimming, being wet a lot during the summer bit not sure. he recently developed this issue where the bottom of his 2 big toes and a few of his fingertips peel terribly and even crack. It's awful. I've tried lotion, aquaphor and bacitracin with bandaids and nothing has worked. I'm going to call the ped tomorrow but was wondering if anyone else ever experienced this and if so what you did about it. Thanks!

I noticed in between my DD's toes look raw and are peeling. I took her to the dr for a rash and he looked at it and said it was from the heat.

No he's never had coxsackie. He's always had bad skin on his legs especially but this doesn't look like eczema. It's not in between the toes at all. There's also like a little split in each of his big toes. I'm going to add a pic from google. This is not my son but it looks very similar. Sorry, may be TMI:

Looks like my DDs looked after Coxsackie too. Also, my DDs skin does peel after wearing water shoes.

Yea I think it does have to do with the water but now that it's actually cracking I'm going to see what the doc thinks. Thanks!

I would have it looked at by the doctor. It looks like fungus to me, which is contagious, that's why he is getting it on his fingers as well.

my sons feet tend to peel (almost like a blister but without the painful bubble) but never crack ... i would def take him to a ped derm. could be fungal.

That does look like fungus to me. My brother used to get some nasty athlete's foot and it looked a lot like that!! Bring him to the doctor!

it's from the water. My brother used to get them each summer for years. We just put lots of lotion on it and it would go away by the fall/winter.
