Duke Lacross- Gulity or Innocent?
since everyone is bored.....
what do you think and why?
I am not saying they are angles- but I would like a little more hard evidence- like the DNA
that first came back not theres- so the DA ran it again and went ahead with the indicment
the second dancer- the DA dropped a bunch of pending charges on her- she emailed a PR firm to spin the story to her advantage- that's a quote
she picked the boys off of the team photo- they all are dressed the same- and look the same to me
I still don't understand why the strippers went there w/o bouncers-
and if she was drugged like she said she was- how can she be so sure of what the boys looked like
if some one raped her- they desserve to pay for it- I am just not sure if these are the right boys
I feel like I might be basied b/c my Brother played college Lax -

It's so hard to prove rape without DNA evidence because it's her word vs. his word. Here, the DNA isn't a match to the suspects. I wonder how the DA intends to prove his case. From what I've seen, there definitely seems to be reasonable doubt.

There is no DNA link but she was examined by the hospital and the doctor said that it was evident that she'd been raped. I can't say whether I think that they are guilty or innocent; I'd need to hear more facts.
It's so hard with rape cases - I wish that they'd be kept private and not blown across every 24 hour news channel. If she's telling the truth, then victim is just violated all over again in the court system and if the accuser is innocent, his reputation is destroyed as well.

I don't know what to think.
So far there doesn't seem to be an overwhelming amount of evidence against the 2 players indicted, but maybe the DA is holding stuff back.
At the same time, I have a friend who went to grad school there and said the LAX team is well known on campus for partying a lot and getting into a lot of trouble.

I am so on the fence with this case. DNA evidence would of definetly swayed me.
I hate how every "BREAKING NEWS:this just in...." detail is plastered all over TV.
What if the boys are not guilty? They actually went to the home of one of them in Garden City and tried to interview a family member.
Talk about ruining someones rep.
I know nothing personally about the stripper other than she has 2 kids and is a student. Ok, I understand protecting the identity of rape victims and rape laws but this women is just too shady. Not because of her job but because of her story.

My inclination is to believe it... we had a very similar incident in my College, ironically enough, with the lacrosse team. It's that group mentality kind of thing... scary.

If she was drugged though - how accurate could her identification of these boys really be?
I really hope that the DA has better evidence than he is leading on because these boys lives have already been temporarily ruined.

that was my point-
the DA was in such a rush to indict b/c the primary is the day of the next grand jury- I don't see what the rush is when people lives are at stake- but the DA cares more about a conviction and relection over putting the right guys away- IMO

I keep hearing that they did not take a test to see if she was drugged or not and they dont understand if she came into the hospital saying she was raped why a drug test WAS NOT done...They say this evidence would of been big and that they botched it up by not giving her any drug tests

he said that he thinks that she is going to drop the case actually..
if not...he really screwed her over with that interview....sorry but he shouldn't have talked about ANYTHING
