Dull, Achy Cramps?
I'm 9 weeks, 3 days. Since yesterday afternoon I have had dull, achy period like cramps. No shooting pains at all. But, enough pain to be uncomfortable and make me nervous.
I had a MC in February so I am probably more sensitive than the average preggo, worried every pain is something horrible.
My question is, for those of you at 9 weeks or past, what do "growing pains" feel like? Could this be my uteris expanding? I don't have the pains on the side, like stretching ligaments (I did have that a few weeks ago). This pain is definitley in the uteris.
Also, I have had two ultrasounds, at 7 weeks and 9 weeks, and heard and saw the heartbeat both times. And the baby is measuring right where he/she should be.
TIA! I'm just so nervous!

I'm almost 14 weeks and I get those also. My doctor said that it is completely normal as long as they are not sharp and painful. Mine are usually right by the sides oy my pelvis and somethings my back. My doctor said that it is just either your ligaments or your uterus stretching.

Re: Dull, Achy Cramps?
I had cramping that early. It can be your uterus stretching or your muscles / ligaments. I have felt pain where I didnt know I had muscles before. I am now 32 weeks. If its not sharp I wouldnt worry too much, just take it easy.

Re: Dull, Achy Cramps?
I had cramps like that the first 3 months. I swore I was going to get my period at any second. From what I hear they are totally normal. I can totally understand why your nervous though.

Re: Dull, Achy Cramps?
Thank you girls! I'm so glad that none of you wrote that I shouldn't be worried and rush to the doctor. I'm so happy to hear that you all had the same feelings. I just feel like this pregnancy is so fragile and I could lose it at any minute.
How long were the stretches of pain? Did they last a few days at a time?

Re: Dull, Achy Cramps?
u have every right to feel the way you do. It's only natural considering that you had a m/c. I believe it's totally your uterus strethcing.
Everything is fine!!!

Re: Dull, Achy Cramps?
I think it's normal. I remember my doctor telling me to expect cramps like that at my first 3 visits or so.

Re: Dull, Achy Cramps?
So I called my doctor just to be safe. I spoke to a nurse there. She said that menstrual type cramps are normal and can last for a few days. She told me not to worry about them unless they increase or I get sharp and shooting pains. I still don't feel 100% settled, that will come when the cramps subside. But, I feel a little calmer. Thank you everyone!

I'm 9w5d and I get these occasionally. From what I've been told, it's everything stretching and growing and nothing to worry about. Easier said than done, right?

I'm 27 weeks and still get them. My dr said to drink lots of water and put your feet up. I wouldn't worry!

I'm 27 weeks and I still do get them occasionally. My Dr said as long as it wasn't a sharp shooting pain that almost takes your breath away that it's normal.
Try drinking some water, sometimes you can get cramps from being dehydrated too.
I'm sure it's just your uterus stretching.

Oh goodness.... sometimes mine were dull, and other times they were so sharp - I actually stopped and held myself! But I'm almost at 24 weeks, and everytime I go in to see her... She's totally healthy!

I'm so glad you posted this. I thought that at this point (24 weeks) I wouldn't still feel like AF is coming.

Re: Dull, Achy Cramps?
Thank you everyone!
I still have the same dull cramps, not worse but not better. I am just hoping they ease up tomorrow so I can get some peace of mind. I won't feel 100% until then.
Thanks again!!
