Dumb cereal question

I have a dumb question but I have to ask..... my DD is 9 months old--when do I stop giving her cereal with her dinner?? I probably should have stopped already but I just continue on, thinking that it helps her sleep well. Tonight was the first night I didn't give her cereal b/c she was having stage 3 lasagna & sauce & I thought it would be a gross combo with cereal! When did you all stop cereal at night?

I never gave cereal "with" dinner. I either gave dinner (jar food) with a bottle of formula, OR I gave cereal and fruit as the dinner.

Probably at 6 months when she was eating real foods that I pureed up for her. I only gave it at breakfast by then. But I would say that if she'll eat other food, then you don't need to give it for dinner anymore. I mean, by all means, if you want to still give it for dinner instead of making her something, there's nothing wrong with it, but at that point, she just had it for breakfast.

Actually that's a very good question. I'm glad you asked. DD's 8 months and I still give her 1/4 cup a day - I split it between breakfast & dinner. I'm not sure when I should stop though.
