Dumb ? for BTDT Mommies: Boots for babies that don't walk yet?
I know it's better not to put shoes on before they walk. Sarah will be 1 at the end of February, so I figure she probably won't be walking most of the winter, she's not even crawling yet.
I've been looking into snowsuits and was wondering what to put on her feet. So I figured boots, but then I wasn't sure.
And is a snowsuit not the way to go? I figured that DH and I would want to play with her in the snow, but maybe just a coat for all of the time and a pair of snowpants for when we play outside is better?
Please help! Thanks!

Last year Aidan was 6-9months old throughout the winter and had two snow suits - 1 was 6-9 months and was a one pc and 1 was 18 months had detachable booties. He didn't do much but look cute in the snow though
This may be good for Sarah as she might not be doing too much :walking" in the snow at least not til the end of the season. Here is a pic of the snow suit with booties, it was from Osh Kosh, you can snap them off if she does end up wearing shoes or boots. I put a nice heavy pair of socks on him underneath.
This year I am looking for a 2pc outfit, a jacket and bib pants and snow boots. Trying to find a nice Columbia set, if not Lands End or LL bean. They all have 1 and 2 pc sets.

What a cute picture...it reminds me of A Christmas Story...
I bought cheap boots for 6.50 at old navy...they look like baby uggs...they have sand (tan) and pink.

Thanks for the responses. I didn't realize that the parts on the feet would be warm enough for her.
And Stefanie is right...Aiden does look like the younger brother in A Christmas Story. DH loves that movie.

My son was born in a blizzard, in March.. by the time we got to Nov/Dec, he was in about an 12-18mos..we had two snow suits as well.. he was crawling, just started barely walking, and we would put him (wearing crib shoes, or bob the builder boots) in his snow suit... He too looked like the kid from Christmas story.. Just much easier to get him out!!
