dumb question - rashes and day care
DS has a rash allllll over his body. it's like small red dots. i called the ped this morning and after going over his symptoms she said that it's most likely caused by the Augmentin he's been on for a week (which makes sense b/c DH is allergic to amoxicillin, and that's in the Augmentin).
i didn't bring him to day care just in case it's something else (i also don't know if they will take him without a ped's note, and i can't bring him in until after 9 anyway).
i did the right thing by keeping him home, right? i know it seems like a dumb question, but DH seemed to be doubting my decision...

Re: dumb question - rashes and day care
Even though it isn't contagious, the daycare probably would have sent him home anyway, bc they don't know what it is.
You did the right thing , you probably would have been called to pick him up anyway.

Of course... if that's what makes you feel better than why not. I kept Mason home a full week from daycare when he had a bad cold. He was better by Friday, but figured why take the chance.

Re: dumb question - rashes and day care
Its not "Wrong" You kept him home cause he had a rash.. that's YOUR decision.
I see nothing wrong with that at all.
AJ had Roseola which was a very scary looking rash-like spread all over her trunk. I sent her to Daycare.
Daycare was NOT going to send her home. They notified us the day of and we had told them she had gotten a shot so they assumed it was a reaction. In reality it was Roseola which was no longer contagious once the rash appeared anyway. Still I found out with a doctor visit and told them as I dropped her off and they were fine with it.
I say do what you need to do. That's why you are Mom! LOL
