First off, you can never cut out ALL carbs- you'd be surprised at what has carbs in it- there are good foods that contain low amounts of carbs...certain meats, eggs, veggies, etc
That being said- you significantly reduce your carb intake you should cut out breads, rice, potato, starches, sweets, certain fruits, etc
I eat a low carb diet most of the time and stick to meats, eggs, salads, cheeses, nuts, berries and melons and non starchy veggies

Totally agree. I work with a nutritionist and need to calculate my macronutrients on a daily basis. When i first started doing this I was shocked that the foods I thought were considered good for cutting carbs were still adding up to produce significant amounts of carbohydrates in my diet!
For instance, carrots, corn and peas are great veggies but in my eyes they are just like starches as they contain higher amounts of carbs than let's say spinach and broccoli or asparagus.
Fruit has a lot of sugar, natural sugar, but sugar none the less so watch the amount of fruit you are having.
Again, I am not saying don't eat these foods because fruits and veggies are WONDERFUL for you. But ust realize that they also contain carbs.

Yogurt is a carb.
You can limit some "bad" carbs but you cannot and should not cut all carbs. They are essential in your body. ESPECIALLY if you work out!!!!!!

Yes, carbs include breads, pastas, potatoes, corn, oatmeal, etc. I have never done a low carb/no carb diet, but here is the first phase of Atkins (which limits your carbs even more than south beach) for you to get an idea of what is not included in the "okay to eat" list. Your two weeks are basically no carbs. Atkins Phase One
I don't believe eating 0 carbs is very good for you either. You need them for fuel!

I suggest reading the south beach diet book. While the diet itself is a challenge you can modify it to a long-term low carb lifestyle. I have been low "bad" carb for 2 years including while pregnant. It really helped me love my body & realize that pasta doesn't make me happy.
