dumb sweet potato question
How do you bake a perfect potato? I am going to make the candied/marshmallow kind, but I want to have a healthier alternative as well. I have never baked sweet potatoes. How do you do it?

i always stick it with a fork a few times and pop them in the oven until they are done... you can even wrap them in tin foil if you want...

I also stick it with a fork all around the potato and then wrap it in tin foil and bake in the oven.

I believe you can pierce with a fork, bake for about an hour, turning half way through...thats' what the baby food cookbook told me to do.
I tried a small one in the toaster oven on bake and it came out great
