Dutch Wonderland (anyone stay downtown)

It seems downtown Lancaster is only 15 mins from DW park. There are a ton of really good restaurants downtown, and hotels there too. I am looking to book something for a weekend in June. I am looking into Eden as well b/c it is close. We really don't like chain restaurants, are there other options around Eden? We will need some place to go to dinner Sat & Sun before we hit the road. I plan to do breakfast in the room quick, and pack lunch for the park. TIA!

Chat Icon this question! I share the same sentiments with regards to resturants.

We stayed at eden and really liked it. But the only meals we liked where downtown.

Miller's was very good - it's buffet/smorgasboard style. Make sure you call ahead to be put on the list, there is almost always a long wait!

Someone also recommended Good N Plenty but we were extremely disappointed. Too much money for very little food, and the food was just okay.

We didn't stay at Eden, just to save money, but I've only heard good things about it Chat Icon

We stayed at the Marriott downtown. The rooms were very comfortable.

We mostly went out to eat (kettle village and good n plenty) and some other buffet place. The food was less than memorable. I think all the food we ate in lancaster was pretty bland.

That being said, dutch wonderland was so much fun!

We liked a brewery downtown, it was called Iron Hill Brewery. Nice atmosphere and the food is really yummy.
