DW or Sesame with 3yr old and 3month old in the summer

Want to take DD away for her 3rd birthday for 2-3 nights. DS will only be 3 months. Which park is more accommodating for travel with an infant?

(I think my DD would have more fun at Sesame seeing the characters.)

Or any other suggestions w/ in driving distance.

ETA: now I'm thinking of staying in Philly, doing Sesame as a day trip (thinking early June, may not be hot enough for water park), and doing the please touch museum and zoo as well.)

I can only speak for DW since we haven't done Sesame yet (although we plan to). DW has lots of shady areas and I've heard people say there isn't much shade at Sesame but again I haven't been there myself.

We went to DW last June when my DD was 4 mos. It was fine for her. And they have a water area that your 3yr might enjoy.

We haven't gone to Sesame in the summer yet, just for Halloween and Christmas, but it's true, there is not a lot of shade in their park.

I highly recommend getting a toddler fan for the stroller regardless of what park you go to.

That fan is so cool! Didn't even know they made those!

There was absolutely nothing my 6 month old could do in Sesame when we went... DS was 2 at the time & could go on many rides. We did go on a weekend in July or August, so it was crowded.

There was a parade (it was the best part), some shows with ridiculous waits, a carousel (the only ride she could do, but we would have to wait for a bench since she wasn't allowed on any other part) & a handful of other rides similar to that at Adventure land, but fewer in number & sesame street themed. The splash pool area was eh (my community pool or a beach is much, much better). The lazy river looked like a soup with floating people.

Honestly, I wasn't impressed for the park to entertain the ages of 6 months to 2. Older kids could do more in the water park area.

Maybe if the kids were big Sesame fans (mine aren't)... they'd have a better time. We ended up leaving after 2.5 hours.
