Re: Dyson owners - question about cleaning

I don't see why not - DH usually wipes it with a damp rag whenever he empties it.

Just don't reattach it until it's completely dry.

hmm, we've done the rag thing - paper towels actually. I was just wondering if it was ok to just hose it down cleaning the whole inside - like with a power washer

I have DH use the compressor on it and blow all the gunk out about every 3 months.

I'd contact/email Dyson Customer Service and ask if it's ok to get the canister wet.

We take ours apart and wash the whole thing, don't forget you are also supposed the take out the blue spongy thingy in the bottom and wash that too.

yup, we wash the HEPA filter often. I love that you can just wash it instead of replacing it! Chat Icon

ok, you have all convinced me not to power wash it - God forbid water gets somewhere it shouldn't! Chat Icon
